We produce all the types of hard case binding, which have hard case cover
and the texts including illustrations, charts, photographs, etc. The inside
pages are properly fastened together to form a book block. The hard case
binding consists of binder boards or heavy cardboard with a covering
material wrapped and glued over it. Additionally, hard cover binding books
are provided with a paper dust jacket to brighten the cover. We also offer

There are thousands of kinds, weights and
colours of covering the hard case. The three basic popular types are
printed, laminated, library cloth or leatherette. The printed and laminated
covering can carry any design as per customers' choice. Laminated coverings
are generally done in full colour, which do not require dust jacket. Library
cloth includes woven fabric or simulated woven fabric. In both cases, the
cloths are impregnated with a resin to strengthen and stabilize the
material. We can also use composite or simulated leather, if ordered.
The book title, author and other information along with possible designs
are applied to the hard cover by stamping. Flat foil stamping is most common
and least costly, using coloured metallic foils. Three-dimensional die
stamping is also possible. The attachment consists sewing or adhesive.
For sewing, the pages are printed on a large sheets. Then, they are folded
down to the right size. The individual sheet also known as signature for a
book are sewn through the fold at the spine side of the pages. The sewing
holds the pages in place and signatures together. A layer of adhesive
emulsion is applied to the sewn book block to strengthen it. Afterwards,
reinforcing materials are added for heavier books.
Adhesive case bound books may begin as folded signatures or as loose pages.
In either case, the spine side is ground down to expose individual loose
sheets for gluing. A hot melt glue is applied with reinforcing materials.
Double fan adhesive case binding uses a different gluing technique for loose
pages to ensure high strength.
After the attachment stage, the book blocks have strong end-sheets, which
are strongly attached. The cover is joined to the book block by gluing the
end-sheets to the inside of the cover. Provided dust jackets are always
laminated for protection and appearance. These dust jackets catch the eye of
a prospective purchaser with bright colors and catchy designs.
